Miniature Homes & Memories

Every house has a story, and some of those stories deserve to be captured, shrunk down, and placed carefully on a shelf. Whether it’s a childhood home you want to remember forever, your current house, or a dream property, these miniatures are built to bring those memories to life. It takes an unreasonable amount of time, patience, and squinting, but the result is a perfect, tiny slice of reality.

Here are some of my personal favourites - crafted with love and deeply admired by the people who commissioned them.

Satish's Childhood

When Satish moved abroad, the thousands of miles between him and his childhood home started feeling a little too wide. He wanted to bridge that gap with something physical—a tangible piece of the past he could share with his family back in Bangalore, and a keepsake for his own shelf. Rebuilding those memories brick by tiny brick was an absolute privilege, and I hope this little house brings them a spark of home, no matter what time zone they are in.

The American Dream

Parag and Gunjan spent a decade of hard work and sacrifice in the US to finally achieve the ultimate goal: a big, beautiful American house for their kids to grow up in. Naturally, they decided to celebrate this massive life milestone by having me shrink it down to a fraction of its size. Building this tiny testament to their very big dream was an absolute blast.

Home Far Away

Some houses aren't just buildings; they are anchors to our past. When Deepa’s father moved from Nepal decades ago, he left behind his childhood home and all the stories it held. Deepa reached out to see if we could manifest those distant memories into a physical art form he could keep close to him now. Hand-painting the intricate details of a place so far away, yet so deeply loved by a family, made this one of the most meaningful projects I've ever had the honor to build.

Recipe for a Chef

When Samhita, a bakery owner herself, wanted to gift a fellow chef a miniature of his restaurant, Farmlore, I knew we had to get the vibe exactly right. The real challenge here was the landscape. I wanted to capture the surrounding foliage as closely to the original property as possible—cue bringing out the static grass applicator and obsessing over every tiny leaf and texture. It was such an immersive, satisfying build that I ended up doing something I rarely do: I built a second one just to keep for myself.

Charan's Multistory Abode

Charan’s home in Bangalore featured a beautifully unique elevation, which translated into an absolute architectural puzzle on my workbench. Breaking this design down required printing and hand-assembling over 60 individual, tiny parts. There was a lot of intense squinting, holding my breath, and hoping my hands wouldn't shake, but seeing it all finally come together made every meticulous step worth it. I hope this miniature brings Charan and his family as much happiness as it brought me relief to finally finish it!

Prerana's Core Memory

When Prerana reached out to create a miniature of her Nani's home - I couldn't say no despite the very tight timeline. I had to pull a couple of all-nighters to complete the modelling in time and the result was very promising. This project made me miss my Nani, I should create a mini of her house too :) Someday..
